Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has got his friend’s back.
Kevin Hart was scheduled to appear on singer Kelly Clarkson’s new syndicated talk show, which taped on Tuesday. Kevin, who would have been the first guest of the new show, couldn’t make it as he was involved in a ghastly motor accident that left him requiring back surgery.
Comes Dwayne Johnson to rescue who stepped in to take the place of his friend and Jumanji co-star. And mind you, he left his money to stand in for his friend. How awesome is that!
“This is real,” Clarkson said in a clip released on Wednesday. “His wife probably hates me.”
Johnson, who married longtime girlfriend Lauren Hashian in August, said on Twitter he was happy to appear, jokingly referring to Kevin Hart as “my son.” He also revealed his new bride, Lauren, was cool with him going.
“When my son @KevinHart4real goes down with an injury, his big daddy steps in,” he writes. “I did leave my honeymoon early (Lauren approved cos she LOVES Kelly) and now me and Kelly are new best friends.”
