Grammy Awards winning singer Demi Lovato lived her dream as she performed the US National Anthem at the Super Bowl LIV, which took place at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Sunday, 2 February 2020.
The Super Bowl is an annual championship game of the National Football League (NFL) played between mid-January and early February. It is the second-largest food day for the US citizens, after their annual Thanksgiving.
The singer who had just had a massive performance last weekend at the Grammys didn’t fail to give a mind-blowing performance at the sporting event.
Her performance earned her a standing ovation from the crowd at the stadium, as well as favourite appraisals on social media. Christine Sun Kim performed the National Anthem in sign language alongside Demi Lovato on behalf of the National Association of the Deaf.
A few hours before the performance, the singer took to her Tweeter handle to retweet a previous tweet from herself of about 10 years ago when she tweeted about her dream to perform the US national anthem at the Super Bowl.
One day, I’m gonna sing the national anthem at a super bowl. Onnnee dayyy….
