The late American rapper, activist, and entrepreneur, Nipsey Hussle has been selected as one of 38 honorees called forth to join the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
He is joined by actress Carrie Fisher, chosen in the motion picture category, as the other person who was selected posthumously.
DJ Khaled, Black Eyed Peas, Ashanti, George Clinton, Avril Lavigne, Los Huracanes Del Norte, and Martha Reeves are also among other artists selected in the recording category.
Radio personality Ellen K, who was honoured in the past, announced the new honorees on the Walk of Fame’s website.
This current crop was selected from among hundreds of nominees at a meeting held on Monday by the Walk of Fame selection committee and ratified by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors on Wednesday.

Ellen K said, “We can’t wait to see each honoree’s reaction as they realize that they are becoming a part of Hollywood’s history with the unveiling of their star on the world’s most famous walkway.”
The selection panel handpicked a group of honorees for each year that represents various genres of the entertainment world. “The panel did an amazing job choosing these very talented people,” said Ellen K.
The dates for these star ceremonies are yet to be scheduled. Also, from the date of selection, recipients have two years to schedule star ceremonies before their selection expires.
