Prime Video has released the first peep at its upcoming sci-fi film “The Tomorrow War” and actor Chris Pratt shares the spotlight with what sounds like the Canadian anthem in the background. Or that is what Canadians are saying they hear …
In the 29-secs trailer, J.K Simmons, who plays the estranged father of Dan Forester (Chris Pratt) does not appear. This was intentional to give fans the first view of only the lead actor without given too much away.
Yvonne Strahovski, Betty Gilpin, Sam Richardson, Edwin Hodge, Jasmine Mathews, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Olaolu Winfunke, Chibuikem Uche, and Keith Powers are also listed as part of the casts.

In the YouTube comment section, we saw many comments about the trailer’s theme sounding like “O Canada”, the national anthem of Canada. One user even asks, “Why is O’ Canada the [background] instrumental? Is Canada the ruler of the world in 2051?”
“The Tomorrow War” is a film about a group of time travellers arriving from the year 2051 to deliver an urgent message that thirty years in the future mankind is losing a global war against a deadly alien species. They recruit soldiers and civilians from the present to be transported to the future and join the fight.
The film is directed by Chris McKay, director of “The Lego Batman Movie” (2017), and it premieres on Prime Video on 2 July 2021. Expect more details about this summer’s sci-fi action thriller like if J.K Simmons moustache will also be making an appearance.
