What to say when Nollywood meets farming? Edutainment. And that is what we are going to get as Chi Farm announces its partnership with Nollywood to produce an eight programme Edutainment mini-series. The objective is to assist in the capacity building of farmers in the country.
The Nigerian Tribute reports that the shooting of the first mini-series has already commenced in Epe, Lagos State, with a focus on catfish farming. The series will follow the struggles of a catfish farmer as he tries to break even and make the business profitable. Technical assistance will be provided by The Chi Farms Aquaculture Customer Focus Team.
The series also forms part of the Chi Farm’s “Feed the Future Initiative.” It will be made available online via social media and is also expected to be broadcast on a major Nigerian TV channel.
The project is supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
