Before Monday night’s fifth-round draw, giant clubs like Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal have all been knocked out of the FA Cup but Chelsea struggled to draw with Manchester United in the last-16 round of the competition.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the Norwegian football manager and former player, who is the caretaker manager of English club Manchester United is so confident of getting a result at Stamford Bridge following his impressive start at Old Trafford. Fast recovering Man Utd had beaten Arsenal away 3-1 in the fourth round to maintain the caretaker coach’s 100 per cent record so far.
It is a big month in general for Sarri and Chelsea: the Blues will face Huddersfield at home at the start of the month before a trip to champions Manchester City on February 10.
Though the date for Chelsea and United to face off is yet to be announced, Chelsea will restart their Europa League campaign on 14th of February and it will be accompanied with a trip to Malmo. The date of the march is likely to fall between 15th-18th of February.
Malmo will be hosted by the Blues for the second leg of their European tie, which is slated for the 21st of February before facing Man City for the second time in 14 days as they bid for EFL Cup glory in the Wembley final.
While Man Utd and Arsenal are three points behind simultaneously, Chelsea is on the fourth position and they are in a bid to return to the Champions League.
