Charles Okpaleke is not stopping with the remakes of legendary old Nollywood movies, and we absolutely love it. Following the release of the successful ‘Living in Bondage’, Okpaleke has acquired the rights to two more movies, ‘Glamour Girls’ and ‘RattleSnake’.
Now, he’s set to release the 1992 Nollywood hit movie, ‘Nneka the pretty serpent’. He took to his Instagram page to make the announcement.
He also revealed that the movie will be released in December 2020. He wrote:
“We’ve been waiting to announce this! Nneka is Back, and this time she’s going for the Jugular.”
The original film follows Nneka, a mermaid disguised as a human whose mission on earth was to go after married men.
The movie was produced by Okechukwu Ogunjiofor and directed by Zeb Ejiro in 1992. The film was also a commercial success back then despite being shot in Igbo with English subtitles.
It starred Ndidi Obi as the lead character and actors like Eucharia Anunobi, Ngozi Ezeonu, Rita Nzelu, Sam Loco, Kanayo O.Kanayo, James Iroha, Claude Eke and Nelly Uchendu.
