The MTV VMAs 2021 ceremony went down on Sunday, 12 September 2021, and guests who showed up didn’t fail to bring their A-game as the red carpet was on fire with the lit outfits. 

Outfits ranged from feathers to Sequins and much more! Though the MTV VMAs 2021 ceremony was laced with COVID-19 restrictions, however, vaccinations have made public gatherings a little easier, and the VMA red carpet is proof of that. 

Below, check out our top ten fashion moments from the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet, from Olivia Rodrigo’s pretty-in-pink moment to Normani’s take on a two-piece suit.

1. Olivia Rodrigo 

The 2020 breakout teenager and “drivers license” crooner stunned viewers by wearing vintage Atelier Versace. Clayton Hawkins (of Matrix) made her hair while her makeup was done by Molly Greenwald (repping Byredo Makeup).

2. Camila Cabello

Cabello, fresh from her “Cinderella” role, wore Alexis Mabille Couture with makeup by Patrick Ta for L’Oréal Paris and hair by Dimitris Giannetos for GHD.

3. Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Baker

Olivier Theyskens styled the couple and their makeup was handled by Rokael Lizama for KVD Beauty. 

4. Saweetie

The beautiful Saweetie looked glamorous in her Valentino dress.

5. Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys looked fabulous on the VMAs in her Lois Vuitton outfit.

6. Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X looked dapper in his pastel purple Atelier Versace suit-cape-gown.

7. Travis Scott

Appearing at the VMAS 2021 red carpet without his pregnant girlfriend, Travis Scott stole the show in his all-black outfit. 

8. Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran goes bold with his choice of outfit at the VMAs 2021. He looked dapper in his gold and black print.

9. Shawn Mendes

Clad in an all-white outfit, a long blazer, trousers and top, Shawn Mendes didn’t come to play. 

10. Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton made a glittering entrance to the red carpet of the 2021 VMAs. She was clad in a piece that featured a high neckline and asymmetric skirt. The model also made sure to be adorned with less jewellery than her colleagues.
