Zayn Malik in a recent interview with BBC radio confirms that he is ready and more confident to face life anew. Following the breakup, Zayn had taken to his social media to admit he was finding it difficult in the studio because his songs were inspired by Gigi Hadid.
But the turbulence and heartbreak of the last month appear to be behind Malik as he prepares to releases his forthcoming second album and its lead single, Let Me.
The 25-year-old singer insists he has moved on from his recent split with Gigi and is fully focused on his music.
Zayn also admits that he has been working on personal issues to do with him, and with leaving One Direction in 2015. Which he seems to have overcome.
“I didn’t know what was going on for a while. I was just putting out a record and not really being as prominent as I wanted to be.
“But this time around I feel like I am more confident and I really believe in what’s going on, so I want to convey that to my fans,” he says to Nick Grimshaw on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show.
Zayn also explains that the new album will be different from the last album. “It’s a bit different to my last record in terms of, it’s matured.”
Zayn’s new single Let Me will be aired from 1.00 pm on Thursday, 12 April.
