School of Rock star Kevin Clark dies at 32 in an accident

Popular child actor turned musician, Kevin Clark, has been reported dead according to news coming from Chicago Sun Times yesterday.

Reports say that Kevin, 32, was hit by a vehicle while riding his bicycle on Wednesday. He was rushed to the hospital but didn’t make it eventually. Kevin was pronounced dead not long afterwards.

It has since been confirmed by the Cook County Medical Examiner that the cause of death was blunt force injury as a result of the vehicle and bicycle collision.

It is said that the police has now issued citations to the 20 year old lady who drove the vehicle that hit him.

As fans will remember, Kevin Clark is widely known for his role as Freddy Jones aka Spazzy McGee in Jack Black’s 2003 hit movie School of Rock, which incidentally was his first and only acting role as Kevin opted for music afterwards, plying his trade as a drummer.

The deceased’s mother, Allison Clark, told reporters that Kevin’s newest band Jessie Bess and The Intentions had indeed only just played in their first show a few days before the tragedy. In her words, “He told his bandmates just yesterday: You know, this is finally the life I want to live. And we’re going to make it. You’re my musical family — my family — and we’re all going to make it… He loved music. He’s just a raw talent. He’s got a heart of gold.”

Friends and costars have since taken to social media to pay their last respect to the star who left the world too soon.

May his soul Rest In Peace.
