Rock singer Bono says he’ll be ‘back with full voice’ after losing his voice during a Berlin concert

The Irish rock group was forced to cut short a concert in Berlin after the lead singer of the U2 band, Bono, lost his voice.

The lead singer of legendary Irish rock band U2 said he had seen a doctor and will “be back to full voice” a day after he suffered a complete loss of voice during a concert in Berlin.

In a statement through U2’s publicist, Bono said that he is in great shape to complete the band’s experience+innocence tour.

So happy and relieved that anything serious has been ruled out,” Bono said in the statement. “My relief is tempered by the knowledge that the Berlin audience were so inconvenienced. There was an amazing atmosphere in the house, it was going to be one of those unforgettable nights but not for this reason. We can’t wait to get back there on November 13.”

During the weekend, Bono had announced to fans that he could no longer continue singing due to loss of voice after performing only a few songs. The 58-year-old rock singer had stopped singing to drink from a thermos flask several times during his performance before admitting he had a problem with his voice.
