A Nigerian man who is known as Kenechukwu Okeke, with the Twitter handle @HumanRightsNG, has dragged prominent figures who were actively involved in #EndSARS protests to court for their involvement in the protests.
At least 50 persons are threatened to face a criminal complaint for their involvement in the End SARS protest.
According to Okeke, his properties were destroyed during the riots “instigated and incited” by the 50 “accused persons“. He is, therefore, asking that the alleged promoters of the End SARS protests be brought to book.
Most of the 50 names listed in the suit are celebrities. some of which are Aisha Yesufu, Pastor Sam Adeyemi, Tuface, Kanu Nwankwo, Davido, Banky W, Uche Jombo, Kiki Mordi, Falz, Yul Edochie, Flavour, Yemi Alade, Peter Okoye, Paul Okoye, Burna Boy, Modupe “Moe” Odele, and more.
The case was instituted on Monday pursuant to sections 88, 109(a), 110(1)(c) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015.
In reaction to this, Aisha Yusuf tweeted: “Hello #EndSarsList team mates. What colour of aso ebi are we sewing for our court appearance?”

In reaction, 2baba’s manager, Efe Omorogbe, described the suit as a mere social media stunt for attention.
“There’s no comment yet. We have not been served any paper. We have not received any formal summon,” Efe stated.
He added that the lawsuit remains idle until a summon is received from the court.
“We can’t respond to what is merely trending on social media until we receive a summon we can’t respond.”
Nigerians have also reacted by slamming the complainant. Some suggested he is a fake account and asked him to file the suit with his real name and account. Others made a joke out of it, asking why their names weren’t on the list.
