Mrs Ujubuonu died in the late hours of Sunday, 21 June aged 78. She was an indigene of Ndodolu Village, Umunuko, Ukpor, in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
She was widowed in 1988 following the death of her husband, Benjamin Ujubuonu. After his death, Mrs Ujubuonu, who was born on 18 April 1942 devoted her life to her business, her children, and service to humanity.
Before her death, she was an active Christian and a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
A statement released by her family said she died in the home and arms of her daughter, Mrs Ezekwesili. She died in Abuja because of a cancer-related illness.
She is survived by several children and grandchildren. May her soul rest in peace.
