During an episode that was supposed to tackle dating among millennials, and which was co-hosted by Sess, Kiekie and Iyanuoluwa, she made the statement, saying,
“They say they’re born that way, but I haven’t seen any biological proof.”
The comment drew widespread criticism from members of the LGBTQ community including Bisi Alimi, who gave her a piece of his mind.
Now, the singer who recently welcomed a child has taken to social media to tender an apology for her statement, saying that she carelessly addressed the issue, which is a matter of life and death.
She went further by saying that she is a learning phase and while she understands discrimination as a woman, she is still learning to understand the full grasp of how the LGBTQ community experiences it.
