Yemi Alade, Mr Eazi, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage and Nigerian singer and queen of Afrohouse, Niniola Apata, who is popularly known by her stage name, Niniola, have all received Grammy certificates of recognition.
The certificates were awarded by the Recording Academy.
In the case of Niniola, she received hers for her work as a composer on the album, The Lion King: The Gift, by American singer, Beyonce.
The talented Nigerian singer made the announcement via her official Instagram page where she shares a copy of the certificate, thanking God and everyone who has shown her support.
She writes: “And The GRAMMY Certificate @recordingacademy just came in the mail today…Thank You God and Thank you to everyone that has been supporting. Love U All”

The album Lion King: The gift was curated by Beyonce following the release of the Lion King film (remake) in July 2019.
Lion King: The Gift is different from the official track of the film. Beyonce called it, her love letter to Africa.
The 14-track album features many African heavyweights including the Nigeria singers Yemi Alade, Mr Eazi, Burna Boy, Wizkid and, Tiwa Savage.
It was released on 19th of July 2019.
