American rapper Nicki Minaj and boyfriend, Petty, reportedly took out a marriage licence according to TMZ.

The couple has been dating since December last year after rekindling their flame from their teen years.

According to TMZ, the couple were spotted at the Bev Hills Courthouse Monday. Witnesses told the outlet they saw Nicki and her boo at the marriage license bureau window, and they got the paperwork they need to tie the knot.

This is not the first time the couple has been reported to have obtained a marriage licence. Back in June, Nicki said on her Queen Radio show that she and Kenneth had already gotten their marriage license.

At the time Nicki said: “We did get our marriage licence. I think I have what I was striving for, just happiness. It was so hard to get to a happy place. Now that I’m there, I don’t want to compromise that for anyone or anything.”

So kind of bizarre that they got another license soo soon after as a licence is good for up to 90 days. And unless Nicki is forthcoming with an explanation, the best anyone can do is speculate.

So far, no wedding date has been announced but secret marriages are in vogue among celebrities. Odds are, the marriage may already have taken place.
