She was awarded a doctorate degree in arts in recognition of her contributions to broadcasting and enterprise in Nigeria.
She shared the news on her Instagram page with the caption:
“I would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to the University of Westminster for awarding me with an honorary degree of Doctor of Arts, in recognition of my contributions to broadcasting and enterprise in Nigeria. My second honorary degree! It is really exciting to be recognised for doing what you love. I am so humbled and grateful.
Lord I remain Grateful and thankful in your presence always. I thank the EbonyLife team, partners, friends (my bestos) and last but not the least my family who continue to give me all the moral support and prayers that continue to keep me going, even when things get tough. #ifyoucanthinkityoucandoit

In her acceptance speech, she spoke directly to the graduates of Arts from the University and said:
“The most important thing in life is to find your God-given purpose and passion – I mention God because I am a strong Christian and I truly believe he directs my every step. But going back to purpose – please find that thing you are passionate about, that you feel you were born to do.
“Then, spend every day planning and carrying out that purpose. It’s not always easy to find – but if you persevere, it will never fail you. When things get tough – and they will – just keep forging ahead – stay focused – be tenacious – and eventually your purpose will multiply and become unstoppable!”
