According to an official statement released by the company, the decision was made by the board of directors. FilmHouse/FilmOne are entering a new phase, thus the “board has decided to appoint new managing director(s) to steer the affairs of bothcompanies.”
Kene who has over 25 years cinema and film industry experience is one of the enigmas who has helped in pushing Nollywood to the world. With his help, FilmHouse Cinemas has since become a home for Nollywood practitioners
Meanwhile, Kene Okwuasa will function as the interim managing director of FilmHouse Cinemas while Moses Babatope will function as the interim managing director of FilmOne Distribution and Production pending a new appointment.
