The leader of the Kogi Labor Congress chapter has let the workers know that the strike all over the state that commenced a week ago will not end any time soon.
Governor Yahaya Bello however stated that that the State is interested in the welfare of the workers and committed to satisfying them. But he also stated:
“The whims and caprices of vested interests cannot, therefore, be admitted to determine our responses in anyway”
Referring to the ongoing strike after he had said that the State Government will pay attention to laws including the Public Service Rules.
The labor movement shows no sign of accommodating anything short of their demands as the released a bulleting on October 3 titled ‘On Our Demands We Stand; Strike Continues Indefinitely’.
