Katherine McPhee welcomes first child

American actress Katherine McPhee is officially a mum as she welcomes her first child with husband David Foster.

According to the People, their source disclosed that the actress welcomed a healthy baby boy on Wednesday, 24 February 2021. E! News also confirmed the news from David Foster’s team.

At this time, the couple are keeping the details of their newborn one to themselves as they have neither denied or confirmed the news. However, just before the American Idol alum gave birth to her baby boy, she shared a rare picture of her bump.

While on Women on Top podcast, Katherine stated: “Now that I am having a boy, there are different things I need to worry about to teach him, versus the things I would be thinking about with a girl…I think men have different issues and different things to worry about.”

This is the actress’ first baby and David’s fifth child. He is the proud dad to Erin Foster, Amy Foster, Sara Foster, Allison Jones Foster and Jordan Foster.
