White policemen in America killed black George Floyd by kneeling on his neck until he ran out of air and died. While he struggled for air, he cried out for mercy, telling the policemen that he could not breathe but he was ignored.
Following his death, a viral video went around of Floyd’s last moments that inspired a wave of anger in celebrities and the general public. Since then, there have been protests around the world calling for justice to be served in this case.
In response to this event, Star Wars actor, John Boyega tweeted, “I really f*cking hate racists.”
The tweet did not sit well with some people who took to the replies to air their grievances about his message. Some compared his message to other situations, some asked him to include everyone in his messages, while others attacked him for his views.
See some messages below:
While the messages continue to filter in, a number of people also supported him, praising him for speaking up and for being so straightforward about his views on the subject.
So John Boyega says he hates racist and ppl are responding back to him saying hate is a “strong” word. Lol I don’t get it.

It’s orchestrated, YVA. Racists try to gaslight people of colour into thinking they are the racists. They do this to negate the entire global history of imperialism, slavery and oppression. There are a lot of very manipulative, evil f***ers out there right now.

The conversation didn’t end on Twitter as John Boyega also took to his Instagram page to share his thoughts during an Instagram Live video. There was nothing apologetic about him as he once again emphatically doubled down on his earlier stance.
He also warned racists who may be lurking on his page that they would be blocked immediately if found out. Watch the video below:
“I hate racists—with a passion.” I love seeing @JohnBoyega not only speak truth to power, but do so in such uncompromising language. Way to use your platform, brother. https://t.co/ug5bhfbYlm
