Popular Nigerian gospel singer and evangelist Tope Alabi has reacted after a video of her dancing Zanku went viral on social media.
Following a dance video of Tope Alabi that went viral on social media, the gospel singer was on TVC Wakeup Nigeria show to explain the reason for her Zanku dance steps that went viral.
Zanku dance was invented by the king of the street music, Zlatan Ibile.
Critics had risen up against the singer and it seemed that some fans of the singer could not reconcile the person in the vral video with the Tope Alabi that they have always known.

Now, Tope has come out to explain that the dance was needed by her after her father’s burial . She also stated that her gospel friends put up that section for her as a medium to thank God for the successful burial of her father. “I really needed that dance,” she says.
“This is praising God, but what was going through your mind at that moment?”, the interviewer asks Tope Alabi.
“In a nutshell, I needed that dance; it was at my father’s burial. The praise was organised by most of my gospel friends for me to worship God, and I need to worship God. I just need to worship God. It’s not easy to bury my father”
