Ellen DeGeneres revealed on Tuesday, 8 September that her talk show, ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show‘ will return for its 18th season on 21 September. The first episode will also feature a guest appearance from Tiffany Haddish.
Kerry Washington, Alec Baldwin, and Chrissy Teigen are set for the first week, with Chris Rock, Amy Schumer, Adam Sandler, and Orlando Bloom appearing later in September, the show said.
In the announcement, she also seemingly spoke about the complaints levelled against her by both current and former staff, saying: “I can’t wait to get back to work and back to our studio. And, yes, we’re gonna talk about it.”
Staff who have worked at the show both now and in the past, have detailed their experiences of racism, workplace toxicity and sexual harassment.
Following the allegations, Warner Bros. began an investigation into the allegations. Last month, three top producers, Ed Glavin, Kevin Lema, and Jonathan Norman were fired from the show.
