Nigerian singer Davido has clapped back at rumours that suggest that he may not be the biological father of his son, Davido Ifeanyi Adeleke Jnr.
David and Chioma welcomed a child together, sometime last year in London. The child is Chioma’s first child and Davido’s third child as he has two daughters from earlier relationships.
Recently, some blogs have been spreading rumours that the three-month-old may not be Davido’s biological son. Some of them even went as far as posting a fake tweet, which they alleged came from the popular artist.
According to the fake tweet that has been circulating on social media, the singer allegedly stated that he has fears that young David Ifeanyi, his son that he has with his soon-to-be wife Chioma, may not be his.
The rumours might have sprung following rants from Peruzzi’s former record label’s CEO, King Patrick. King Patrick, who is currently in court battling Davido over alleged Peruzzi’s contractual obligation breach, had made a dig at Davido. King Patrick hinted that Peruzzi and Chioma were former lovers and they might still have a thing going on.

His tweet: “If you’re feeling stupid and you’re out there popping babies and giving girls STDs, don’t be sad, reach out to loved ones and get advice from your Huncho on how to fvck his side chick and pimp her out to you as his cousin. Let’s be guided pls. Incest is a sin.”
That tweet was loaded and is up for interpretations.
Following the tweet, some ‘concerned’ Davido’s fans had urged the music star to carry out a paternity test to confirm that Ifeanyi is truly his biological son. This, we think, is probably one of the reasons some blogs came up with the story of Davido questioning the paternity of his son, David Ifeanyi Adeleke Jnr.
Well, to put the matter to rest, Davido today Tuesday, 21st January 2020, took to his Instagram stories to address the issue. And he did it in Davido’s style – short and to the point.
His words: “Any of you that legit believes that fake photoshopped tweet going round of me talking nonsense about my son can’t be stable!!! LMAO.
“Kai social media!! I hail!!”
Case closed. Rumour peddlers may now go look for another target.
