While giving a speech on ‘Challenges Facing Agribusiness Investors in Nigeria’ at the Agric Expo and Conference that is organized by Nigeria Agribusiness Group.
The chairman of Dangote Group represented by Mosul Ahmed said:
“The security situation in the country is discouraging agribusiness investors. Most of the people that own large farms on the Kaduna-Abuja road have abandoned their farms due to the menace of kidnapping’”
He also advised the Government to revisit the Land Use Act as it is posing problems via bottlenecks in terms of acquiring land for agribusiness.
Then he rounded up by pointing out another fault of the government when he said:
“Agriculture cannot thrive in this country except there is cooperation between all the agencies of government. Inter-governmental cooperation is lacking in terms of galvanizing the kind of support that investors need in the sector.”
