The album features Youssou N’Dour, Sauti Sol, Chris Martin of Coldplay, Naughty by Nature, and gives production credit to Diddy and Timbaland.
Since its release, it has achieved a number of mindblowing feats, including the stunning feat of recording five million streams in an hour, worldwide.
Now, it is going further than that and has gone on to rank number one in 22 countries all over the world. The album was released only five days ago, on 14 August.
According to data from Kworb, the album is number one on Apple Music in the United Kingdom, Belgium, Botswana, Cyprus, Fiji, France, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Netherlands, Niger, Nigeria, Oman, South Africa, Swaziland, Uganda, United Arab Emirates and Zimbabwe.
‘Twice As Tall’ is named after Burna Boy’s personal experience, mostly after his Grammy loss. Speaking about the album, Burna Boy said:
“It is a journey through a bunch of emotions and energies at different points in time. It has now morphed into something bigger than me. It serves as a bridge for mankind to show that we’re all different but still very much the same.”
