During the Saturday night party, Erica got drunk and became more open than normal towards Laycon and Kiddwaya. After the party, Laycon insisted that Erica would not sleep with Kiddwaya as they were both drunk.
Erica ended up sleeping on her own and when she woke up the next morning, Kiddwaya was there with food and some love for her to recover from her hangover.
However, on Sunday, 9 August, an article was published on the official Africa Magic website which seemed to praise Laycon at Kiddwaya’s expense.
The article painted Laycon as a hopeless loverboy while describing Kiddwaya as a serial flirt who did not deserve to have Erica’s affections.
Read it below:
Thank you big brother/African magic for writing that lovely article about laycon…waking up to read it gave me hope, because laycon has been insulted and dragged on this app for doing absolutely nothing #BBNaija #Laycon #BBNaijialockdown2020 pic.twitter.com/u6UxhwoPqG

The article infuriated BBNaija fans who felt that it was unfair for Kiddwaya to have been so harshly maligned in the article. They subsequently made their displeasure known with the hashtag, #JusticeForKiddwaya.

The same man that looked away when he saw Erica bathing naked, is being addressed as 'a serial flirt' and a 'woman abuser'.
I'm literally in tears rn, all KiddWaya has done is being nice and this is what he gets in return ? ?#JusticeForKiddwaya #BBNaija pic.twitter.com/r7FwGPgLEq

African Magic abi BBN calling Kiddwaya a serial flirt is totally biased and disrespectful, i thought BBN was a competitive show, why talk down on one house mate and praise the other?? Totally unacceptable.#JusticeForKiddwaya #EbukaShakeTables #bbnaijalockdown2020 #StarGirlErica pic.twitter.com/LLrfHuSrGp

It’s ok to feel threatened by a persons influence and success but it’s not enough reason for you to invest your resources in creating negative descriptions of that person . I care about women too much to permit a negative intention or behaviour towards them .#JusticeForKiddwaya

Following the complaints, Big Brother Nigeria took to their official Twitter account to apologize, saying that they let their emotions carry them away. See the tweet below:
Well that was embarrassing! We admit we got a little too carried away and we let our emotions get the best of us. Please remember that the power, as always, remains in your hands. #BBNaija
