Beyonce’s father, Mathew Knowles, is fighting breast cancer.
Knowles would discuss about his condition during an appearance on Good Morning America, which will air on US TV network ABC later today.
The network made the reveal last night via Twitter, writing: “TOMORROW ON @GMA: @MathewKnowles, the father of @Beyonce and @solangeknowles, sits down one-on-one with @michaelstrahan and reveals his fight with breast cancer. See the EXCLUSIVE interview only on GMA tomorrow.”

Breast cancer in male is rare and according to breastcancer.org, accounts for less than 1% of all breast cancers. However, they are often fatal because they are typically caught at an advanced stage, says Dr Monica Morrow to ABC news.
However, if caught early, the survival rate is similar to those of women.
Symptoms are similar to those found in women and can include a lump in the breast, the nipple turning inwards and fluid oozing from the nipple.
People, whether male or female, are advised to immediately see their doctor if they notice anything unusual about their breast as early detection boosts the chances of survival.
