Aden Marwa was dropped from the World Cup after he was filmed receiving a $6,000 (R80 821,20) bribe from a Ghanian journalist posing as a football official during the Confederation of African Football (CAF) assignment in Ghana.
Aden is the second major casualty of a series of stings by Ghanaian journalists, which led Kwesi Nyantakyi resigning as CAF vice-president over corruption.
A total of 22 referees are affected by the CAF crackdown including Togolese Yanissou Bebou and Gambian Jallow Ebrima.
