Burna Boy finally speaks on Grammy Award loss; congratulates Angelique Kidjo

Nigerian singer and self-proclaimed African Giant, Burna Boy, finally breaks silence on his loss at the Grammys to Angelique Kidjo and congratulates her.

Ahead of the award, many fans of the singer had taken to the Twitter community to voice their good wishes and goodwill for the singer. They didn’t fail to state that they expected the African Giant to bring home the Grammy statue.

Fellow singers and celebrities weren’t left out as well, as they also sent in their massages. Everyone was optimistic about Burna bringing home the award.

Sadly, Angelique Kidjo beat him to him this time and the fans of the singer had taken to the Twitter community again to air their views. Different types of reactions were gotten from the fans of the singer, yet none came from the singer himself.

A few hours ago, the singer finally broke his silence and took to Twitter to post a reaction. He retweeted the news of Angelique’s win and wrote: “Mama Africa”.

In yet another tweet, he retweeted a BBC News African tweet that shares the words of Angelithe Kidjo, who had dedicated the award to Burna Boy during her Grammy Award acceptance speech. “Burna Boy is among those young artists that come from Africa that is changing the way our continent is perceived,” Angelique had said.

Burna Boy retweeted the tweet with the words: “Congratulations Mama
