Super Falcons and Barcelona player, Asisat Oshoala has been crowned the African Women’s Player of the year for her incredible contributions to African Women’s football this year.
She beat Ajara Nchout of Cameroon and Thembi Kgatlana of South Africa to the award.
In 2019, Asisat Oshoala made history while playing for Barcelona as the first African to score in a UEFA women’s Champions League final. She also scored the lone goal that helped Nigeria reach the knockout stages at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World cup.
This is Asisat Oshola’s 4th time winning this award.
