22-year-old Arsenal and Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has been named the most valuable Nigerian footballer.
According to CIES football observatory, Iwobi is worth €55.2 million and has dethroned Ndidi who was the most valuable player last year.
Wilfred Ndidi fell to €55 million from €76.5 million at his peak in February 2018.
The next Nigerian player on the list is Chelsea’s Victor Moses who is worth €24 million.
CIES uses an algorithm to calculate transfer values of players from the big 5 leagues, taking into consideration their age, the length of their contract, the influence of their football club, and other factors.
