D’Tigers has beaten their Senegalese counterparts in the semifinal match and has proceeded to the final of the 2017 AfroBasket tournament in Tunisia.
Senegal had previously edged out giants Angola in a surprising quarterfinal game that had the whole football world buzzing and getting them attention.
Nigerian basketball team had gone into the match with a bit of wariness and it was a very genuine one as they were given a run for their money but eventually they came out tops with the points 76-71 in their favor.
D’Tigers had won the first half of the game (both opening quarters) on a five points lead and was increased in the third quarter but Senegal brought the deficit down by winning the final quarter but still lost the second half by a point and eventually the match.
Nigeria is now on the verge of retaining their crown as they march into the final.
