The singer, who is known for her soulful ballads has been through quite a lot in the past year. She and her ex-husband, Simon Konecki got divorced last year.
After that, Adele began a rigorous weight loss journey that ended with her looking a lot slimmer. Since then, she has shared teasers of herself attending events and generally having fun.
She has put an end to her fans’ long wait by announcing that her album is definitely coming later this year, in 2020.
She made the announcement while performing at a wedding. She attended the wedding of Laura Dockrill and former Maccabees member Hugo White where she performed a series of songs including Beyonce’s ‘Crazy in Love,’ the Spice Girl’s ‘Spice Up Your Life,’ and her very own, ‘Rolling In The Deep.’
At the end of her performance, she casually added: “Expect my album in Sept”.
Last Month, her manager, Jonathan Dickens spoke about the new album, telling Music Week that her album will be out this year, saying “the sooner [it comes out] the better.”
This brings to mind Rihanna’s constant promises about her R9 album, which she has repeatedly failed to honour. Fans will just have to wait and see if Adele will be anything like Rihanna.
