“Loki” TV series is set to premiere its first episode on 9 June 2021 if all things go according to plan, here we reveal the five things viewers should be prepped for.
Kate Herron cut her teeth on Netflix Original series “Sex Education” in 2018 and has done some other jobs for BBC and several short films. She serves as both Director and Executive Producer for “Loki,” meaning she will helm the series in its totality.
However, the MCU head Kevin Feige is on the production team as well, and he will ensure that the series follows traditional Marvel Studios lines. Michael Waldron, another Marvel veteran, created the series and is credited as head writer.

The coming series under crime thriller, science fiction and superhero genres. Hinting at a more explainable sequence of events rather than the plot armour of the protagonist being a god. If you plan to jump right into the series once it premieres, expect the following:
- Loki character in this series will not be the reformed villain of “Avengers: Infinity War” (2018) because despite it happening after the events of “Avengers: Endgame” (2019), he is from a different timeline and did not experience the events of “Thor: The Dark World” (2013) or “Thor: Ragnarok” (2017).
- Links will be made to several MCU films, especially Thor and Avengers, because Marvel plans to use the series as a possible continuation of its fictional universe.
- Owen Wilson, who stars as Mobius M. Mobius, will look like Marvel Comics editor Mark Gruenwald because the character, and each member of the Time Variance Authority (TVA), is supposed to be his clone.
- Marvel has kept the roles of many of the cast of “Loki” hidden because these revelations make up the major attraction of the series.
- Since the TVA has links to many other Marvel superheroes, the TV series will hint at others such as the Fantastic Four and may even provide a link between The Eternals and The Avengers. This clue is also evident in the fact that the “Loki” series is part of Phase Four of the MCU.
The first season will have six episodes and the second season is already in the pipeline as well. As the protagonist, Tom Hiddleston (as Loki) will spend most of the show fixing human history trying to correct his misdeeds. It will be available strictly on Disney+.
