In celebration of the 2019 International Men’s Day, we have compiled a video of some Nigerian men making waves across the globe, this year, in the areas of their chosen professions.
From tech to music entertainment to sports, Nigerians are leaving positive marks, contrasting the often negative press the country receives due to a few bad eggs. So, we believe the International Men’s Day, which was celebrated Tuesday, 19th November is a good opportunity to spotlight some of our modern Nigerian heroes.
Featuring on our list are the following in no particular order because we recognise that each one of them deserves the same level of respect for the passion they bring to their work.
Here we go, five Nigerian Men making global impacts in their professions in 2019:
- Robotics engineer Silas Adekunle
- Sprinter Divine Oduduru
- Footballer Samuel Chukwueze
- Musician Burna Boy
- Boxing champion Israel Adesanya
For the record, the list we have here is just far from exhaustive, just a tip of the iceberg to highlight that Nigerian men are holding up well against their peers.
Watch the video below to know why we are celebrating these men on International Men’s Day:
