Nigerian screen goddess Rita Dominic has thrown a very important question to folks on social media. “So, social media has become the yardstick to measure wealth?” She asks.
As it were, this question very much needed to be asked as it is one of the issues many young folks face in Nigeria. When they see people upload things on social media, they believe that those people were swimming in wealth, which is not necessarily the truth.
Is social media really the yardstick of measuring wealth? “Some people think because you don’t post certain things like designer labels, holidays, how much you have, etc on your means you are not balling?”, Rita. Dominic writes on her Instagram Story.
According to Rita, people who have this kind of thoughts have the poverty mentality. We think she’s onto something there as the award-winning actress really nailed some good points in her post.

Some people think because you don’t post certain things like designer labels, holidays, how much you have, etc on your means you are not balling? Wow. Poverty mentality much? Happiness or balling in your word means different things to different people. This life isn’t that serious, be happy you are alive and healthy first and foremost #Selah.”
