Veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is closing on a deal for the 2020/21 season with Italian giant AC Milan that could be announced by the end of the weekend, according to reports in Italy.
The Sweden international scored 11 goals in 20 games last season after rejoining Milan in December from LA Galaxy, on a deal until the end of the season that included the option to extend until 2021.
The Serie A club wants to have the 38-year-old’s signature confirmed by Monday when the squad is scheduled to meet up.
Also, reports in Italy suggests both parties are looking for a middle ground on wages for a one-year deal, between the €7.5m (£6.77m) being sought by Ibrahimovic and the €5m (£4.5m) on offer from Milan.

The Sweden international had spent two seasons at Milan previously, after initially joining them on a season-long loan from Barcelona in August 2010.
Ibra helped the Rossoneri win the Serie A title that season before eventually signing for them permanently in June 2011.
He then left for French side Paris Saint-Germain a year later having scored 56 times in 85 appearances.
