Chelsea Football Club are close to securing the services of Leicester left-back, Ben Chilwell, after the London club and Leicester City come close in their talks over the player.
A deal is expected to be completed early next week after progress in talks for Frank Lampard’s No 1 left-back target nears fruition although nothing has been signed yet.
Leicester demonstrated last summer with the £80m they recouped for Harry Maguire that they will not let their players leave for anything less than big money.
The Foxes are in no rush to sell their full-back because Chilwell is under contract until 2024 although the situation could change if he asks to leave.
