The Premier League confirmed four new positive cases of the coronavirus on Monday 14th of September 2020 from tests conducted between Monday, 7 September and Sunday, 13 September.
The COVID-19 tests involved 2,131 players and club staff as well.
The four players or club staff who have tested positive will be required to self-isolate for a period of 10 days.
A statement by the Premier League read: “No specific details as to clubs or individuals will be provided by the League and results will be made public after each round of testing.
“The Premier League is providing this aggregated information for the purposes of competition integrity and transparency.”

Also, last week, three positive cases were recorded as testing in the Premier League returned after the break between seasons.

Paul Pogba as well, at the end of August, missed France’s UEFA Nations League games against Sweden and Croatia after being left out of the squad for testing positive to COVID-19.
The 2020-21 campaign kicked off on the 12th of September 2020 after the coronavirus pandemic led to no Premier League football being played for three months from mid-March in the 2019-20 campaign.
All of the games played since June have been held without fans in attendance.
