Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi wins the Ballers Award for the year which is the same thing as the best Nigerian player for the year.
The Ballers Award was organised by Nigerian footballers and it held on Sunday 12th January 2020 at the Orientals Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The Nigerian midfielder who plays for Leicester City bagged the biggest award of the night in the presence of journalists and other football Administrators. He won the Ballers Award for the year.
The 23-year-old footballer’s consistency and hard work had paid off. In the past year, Ndidi was the most consistent Nigerian player and he impressed with his great tackling skills
After receiving the award, the footballer took to his Twitter account to show gratitude to his fellow teammates, both in the National team and in Leicester City, and he also thanked the organizers of the Award.
He wrote: It is a great privilege to win Nigeria’s best footballer Award of the year. I couldn’t have done this myself, I want to thank my teammates both in the National team and Leicester City. Thank you to the organizers of the Ballers Award and to all the fans. Thank you.
