According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), 416 new coronavirus infections were recorded in Nigeria on Monday 1st June 2020.
The NCDC reported this during its nightly coronavirus in Nigeria update.
According to the NCDC, the total number of coronavirus infections in Nigeria now stands at 10,578. Of this number, 299 have died from COVID-19, while 3122 persons have recovered and been discharged from isolation centres across the country. Hence, the active cases in the country now stand at 7,157.

In a follow-up tweet, NCDC also provided data on the coronavirus distribution across the states. Lagos remains the epicentre of Covid-19 in Nigeria with 5,135 cases while Abuja is second with 958 confirmed cases. Cross River State still has not recorded a case.
