The NCDC shares nightly updates on the state of the Coronavirus pandemic in the country in order to keep Nigerians abreast on the spread of COVID-19.
According to the latest update shared on the NCDC Twitter account, Nigeria has recorded 322 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, down from the staggering number recorded yesterday, 23 August.
According to the new report, Lagos recorded 130 new cases, while Bauchi, Abuja, and Edo followed with double-digit numbers.
Based on the new report, Nigeria has now recorded a total of 52,227 cases in the country. So far, 38, 945 people have successfully defeated the virus and have been discharged.
Most significantly, Nigeria has crossed a major threshold with the virus, one that requires us to sit up and focus more on trying to stop the spread.
Nigeria has now recorded 1002 Coronavirus-related deaths in the country. NCDC’s report reads:
