The updates are released daily on NCDC’s official Twitter account and provide Nigerians with the accurate channels through which they can monitor the progress in COVID-19 cases.
According to the latest report, Nigeria has recorded 239 new cases across many states in the country. Plateau State recorded 116 new cases while FCT followed with 33 new cases.
Following FCT, was Lagos State with 19 new cases.
This is coming as the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 reveals that the reduced number of cases across the country is a result of low testing and not necessarily a reduction in COVID-19 cases.
With the new cases recorded, this brings the total number of confirmed Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases to 54,247. 42,010 people have now been treated and discharged from Coronavirus isolation centres.
Tragically, Nigeria recorded 10 more deaths since the latest report to bring the total number of Coronavirus-related deaths to 1,023.
