The NCDC, which monitors the spread and treatments of COVID-19 in Nigeria releases nightly updates on their Twitter account to keep Nigerians abreast on the state of things in the country.
Coronavirus is the virus that causes COVID-19 and so far, there have been more than 20 million cases worldwide. In Nigeria though, there have been 47743 cases confirmed in total.
On Wednesday, 12 August, a nightly update was released and according to it, 453 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Nigeria.
Lagos recorded the highest number of cases in the country with 113 new cases with Abuja close behind at 72 new cases.
NCDC shared the following on their Twitter account: “453 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria;
