The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed more cases of the COVID-19 pandemic infection, which is popularly known as Coronavirus in Nigeria.
The NCDC confirmed 91 new cases of the pandemic, taking the total number to 1,273.
According to the NCDC, the 91 new cases were confirmed in 15 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Kano state was excluded from the reports.
“91 new cases of #COVID19 reported; 43-Lagos, 8-Sokoto, 6-Taraba,5-Kaduna, 5-Gombe, 3-Ondo, 3-FCT, 3-Edo, 3-Oyo, 3-Rivers, 3-Bauchi, 2-Osun, 1-Akwa Ibom, 1-Bayelsa, 1-Ebonyi, 1-Kebbi,” the NCDC writes on their Twitter handle.
“As at11:50 pm 26th April- 1273 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Discharged: 239. Deaths: 40,” the tweet adds.
With the latest confirmation, the total number of confirmed Coronavirus cases has now hit 1,273 with a total of 40 coronavirus-related deaths recorded as 5 new deaths were confirmed. while 239 Covid-19 patients have recovered.
Ebonyi and Kebbi states also recorded their index case respectively yesterday.
