In an earlier interview, August Alsina told Angela Yee that himself and Jada Pinkett-Smith had a romantic relationship for four years during her current marriage to Will Smith.
He also claimed that he got Will Smith’s blessing to carry on a romantic relationship with his wife.
He said: “I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life, and I truly and really, really deeply love and have a ton of love for her. I devoted myself to it, I gave my full self to it — so much so to the point that I can die right now and be okay with knowing that I truly gave myself to somebody.
Now, the couple has taken to Pinkett-Smith’s Facebook show, ‘Red Table Talk’ to discuss the claims made by August Alsina. Even though the couple initially denied the claims, they have now come forward to admit that it did happen, to an extent.
On the show, Jada described her relationship with August as an entanglement. She described the relationship, saying:
“We decided we were going to separate for a period of time and you go figure out how to make yourself happy and I will go figure out how to make myself happy.”
She added: “From there, as time went on, I got into a different kind of entanglement with August.”
She also cleared up the claims by August that Will Smith gave permission for both of them to carry on with their relationship. To that, she said: “The only person who can give permission in that particular circumstance is myself”.
She said she could see how August “would perceive it as permission – because we were separated amicably”.
“I think he also wanted to make it clear that he’s not a homewrecker, which he’s not,” she said.
They concluded the show with the quip, “We ride together, we die together. Bad marriage for life”.

Since the interview went public, several people have made jokes out of the situation, especially the fact that Jada described her relationship with August as an entanglement.
I hope their relationship survives this. At least they’re open with each other. Bravo to them for trusting each to be this Frank in public. As for August why the hell did he have to come out with this now? He’s an idiot. f he wanted healing he should have gone to see a therapist or was he hoping Jada and Will Smith will break up? That’s the definition of a home wrecker.
This whole thing just get as e be. This isn’t that ‘Jada and Will love’ cole told us about.
Entanglement is the new hot word. I’m glad Will just set it straight and called it what it was – a relationship!
