Idris Elba marries Sabrina Dhowre in lavish Morocco wedding

Elba wore a custom Ozwald Boateng suit while Dhowre wore a classic off-the-shoulder, A-line gown custom-made by Vera Wang.

The couple exchanged vows on 26 April at the Ksar Char-Bagh hotel in Marrakech.

“The celebrations have been spread out over three days. Friends and family attended a “colours of the Souk” themed dinner the night before the wedding at the Amanjena. On April 27, they will attend an all-white party at the Mandarin Oriental, which will emulate the atmosphere of a festival,” Vogue reports.

Recall that Idris Elba proposed to his beauty queen girlfriend Sabrina Dhowre at a screening of his new film, Yardie at the Rio Cinema in East London back in February 2018.

The proposal came after Elba had been recorded saying in previous interviews, that he would never get married again after two failed marriages. Looks like the Hobbs & Shaw villain has found love again and he could not just help himself.

Nigerian superstar Davido also performed at the ceremony in a surprise development.

According to Efe Ogbeni who shared the backstory of Davido’s performance at the wedding, “Idris Elba told him ‘Efe l want kid bro Davido to come surprise my wife, this cannot leak, and we can’t have anyone know.’. So my team had to do a major operation – missing luggages, wrong suits, 16 hour flights, David did his thing, and boy was Sabrina Dhowre surprised.”
