This is not new on social media as women who identify as feminists or show the slightest traits of being feminist are sometimes accused of hiding under the umbrella of misandry.
During one of such conversations, a lady on Twitter wrote that “Feminism is not about hating men.”
Following this tweet, another lady replied to the tweet, insinuating that Toke Makinwa and Tonto Dikeh hate men. She wrote: “Let’s ask @tokstarr or Tonto.”
Toke did reply to the tweet with a clarification saying that she does not actually hate men, just the patriarchy system that oppresses women.
She wrote: “Know the difference and set yourself free. Feminism is not hatred towards the male gender, I just can’t stand the male privileges that exists, It is speaking out against patriarchy, it is inclusion and there are men who support feminism too.”
I don’t hate men, I hate Patriarchy and I speak against “male privileges” ? https://t.co/KI3ksUmjPv

She’s on point. I dare Many male to deny the existence of “Male Privilege”.
It’s often those that don’t understand the difference that have a lot to say
