Nigerian actress Halima Abubakar, who took to her Instagram page to announce the arrival of her baby boy, has been called out on social media by an American mum for allegedly stealing her baby’s photo and pretending to use it as hers.
Halima put to bed on 3 April 2020, according to an Instagram post she shared with fans to announce the great news.
The 34-year-old movie star recently welcomed a baby boy and she shared a photo of a baby’s fingers grasping an adult’s thumb with the following caption: “A gift from God And I will cherish you for life,” she captions the photo adding, “biggest miracle. A Boy 3/4/2o2o.”
However, an American mother simply known as Ariel with the Instagram handle, @the_arielb, shared photos of her baby photos on Instagram and the photo was uncannily similar to the one Halima Abubakar used to announce the arrival of her baby.
Apparently, Ariel confronted Halima about the photo and the actress has since deleted the photo but not before some people have screen grabbed it.
And somehow, the private conversation between Ariel and Halima also made it to the public square. Information age, ain’t it?

This halima abubakar drama just made me remember when Oge okoye stole a foreigner dog picture and uploaded it as hers.
These same celebrities are the ones that will come and tell us we are poor if we drag them. pic.twitter.com/HIj9fMEzh7— Chuka… (@OgaChuka) April 9, 2020
Halima Abubakar took another’s woman holding her child picture and use it as hers to share the good news that she has birthed a child. Only for the owner of the picture to call her out.
What exactly is wrong with these people?— Cod (@TopManCod) April 9, 2020

Kcee posted someone else's dollars
Oge Okoye posted someone's dogs
Now Halima Abubakar is being dragged for stealing a baby’s photo
How can you give birth to a baby you carried for 9 months & stole someone else's child to announced the baby?
What's wrong with these people?

Does Halima Abubakar realise that she doesn't have to post a baby picture, like she is posting it..
